When you arrive, ask about water equipment, including kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards, which are free to use. They’re a great way to enjoy the Gippsland Lakes while staying dry and they allow the whole family to explore together.
Our bicycles are also free to borrow. Use them to explore the trails on our beautiful retreat grounds and the surrounding area around the retreat, or as a fun way to get from your lodge to the lakes or retreat amenities.
Just outside of our indoor pool is our heated spa bath, a luxurious place to unwind, chat, and even meditate in a tranquil setting surrounded by the natural beauty of the bush.
We make it easy to bring a boat to Waterfront Retreat. We offer lots of parking for your boat trailer, a boat ramp less than 1 km down the road, and plenty of space at our private jetty for mooring your boat during your stay.
One of the things our visitors love most about Waterfront Retreat is the feeling of being in nature, and we let guests get up close and personal with wildlife encounters. Hand-feed kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and beautiful native birds with animal food provided at your lodge. You’ll also get to see koalas, pelicans, sea eagles, black swans, rosellas, and more.
